A third runway at Heathrow means more noise and more congestion for West London, while also putting the UK behind in its important goal to reduce emissions.

Yesterday in Parliament I responded to the Governments announcement of a National Airports Review, in the context of a third runway at Heathrow.

As Chair of the Transport Committee I am looking forward to scrutinising these proposals.

As a constituency MP I will continue to make the case that Heathrow could be better, and that a third runway will mean many thousands of people in Heston, Osterley, and north Brentford who will be directly under the new approach path, will experience noise way above the levels they currently experience.
